Sunday

Today we enjoyed another day together with Peace Portal Community Church.

The Masembe's had the team over for an authentic meal of Matoke, KoKo, rice, peanut sauce, yams, and fruit.

Some of the team took the chance to learn Ugandan dancing.

As I write, the team is having their end-of-day meeting down in Tent City.

One of our team members stepped on a stick today and had to go into Kampala to get stitches. Pray that the wound will heal quickly and stay free of infection. Pray also for the team as they head into their second big week. More to come tomorrow!

Trevor,
Great pictures and posts! Praying the Prodigal bag arrives. Say hi to the team from the Bruins and a special hug for Kate which she can share with the rest of the team. We watch for the new posts as watchmen wait for the morning light! Blessings on you all.

Dear Uganda Team,
It is a delight for me to read your updates, see your pictures and pray for you as you reach out in Christ's name! As I see and hear your stories, I am reminded of my own experience in Uganda last year and know a little of your journey. God is faithful and he will give you all you need at just the right time. Draw on his resources daily. Bless you all! A special greeting to Kate. Thank you Trevor. I know what it is like to wait for internet access. Wendy B.

Rose - was thinking of you lots this weekend (I had an interview with a woman who lived in Sydney and she was making fun of me because I lived in the Gong) and then I got your email! Great to hear that things are going well over there, and that you're set to begin another week in Mpigi.

Miss you guys, but I'm so proud of you for stepping out of the comfort zone to represent Jesus and to share the incredible love that He has put in your hearts.

hey guys...blessings on you all as you enter the second week....Jon Imboe - can you bring me home a drum similar to the last one you brought home last time? you have a talent for finding the best...and stay away from snakes!! ( I'll bet anything that story gets told in a sermon, and the little grass snake turns into a viper....or python...or medusa!!

you all look like you're having fun....keep up the good work!! much love, in Jesus ~ J

As one who loves to get behind a camera and capture the essence of the moment, I surely have enjoyed the photo journey. There have been so many pictures that have captivated me and brought me closer to where you are, if only in my imagination. And those faces take their places in my prayers, something a little more concrete to focus on so that I am not praying in general, but can be more specific.... But I keep looking, nay, rather, searching, for glimpses of one who is dear to me, and she somehow is eluding the camera....but I know she is there, working in the background, just as she does in so many other places... please let her know that Momzilla misses her muchly....

Hi all.....

Ahhhhh, to be there with you all.....I can only imagine the life changing experiences you are all having!!!! Can't wait to hear about it all in more detail!!

Scott....sorry to bug you, but trying to locate keys and vacuum bags for Hastings...any ideas???? Our latest excitement here is that upon draining the boys bath Jen's toilet filled up with the bubbles....go figure!!! Anyways, i guess it could be worse than nemo bubbles!!!! Also, at church today Beck stood up as soon as we got there and yelled "Hi dad" and waved at the platform....then turns to me and says "where daddy?"....apparently he figured you'd just been at church this whole time!!!!! email when you can!!!

Glad you are all doing well.....praying for you!!!!

So good to hear all about what is going on over there! It is bringing back so many memories for me. I pray that God will use each one of you in ways you never thought were possible, and that he will show you gifts that he has given you. Keep showing His love to all the people that you meet, and loving them with His unconditional love.

You're on the home stretch ... take advantage of each moment to share the love of Jesus and learn from your brothers and sisters in Christ in Uganda. We're praying for your continued safety, and that this time leaves the fingerprint of God's love for the world upon your hearts.

Hi team,

Thinking of you all as I read Ps 149 this morning;
Let them praise His name with dancing and make music to Him with tambourine and harp. For the Lord DELIGHTS IN HIS PEOPLE; He crowns the humble with salvation. Let the saints rejoice in this honour and sing for joy on their beds.

Hi, Jamie Clark:
We were thrilled to get the e-mail and to know that God is at work in you and through you. We are looking forward to seeing your pictures and hearing your stories. We pray for you continually! We love you. Tell Lindsay that we are glad that she has no back pain. Another answer to prayer. Say hi to Brandon too. Thanks Trevor for faithfully keeping us updated. The pictures are very moving.
