Flight info

An update for those coming to the airport... the itineraries (and the team schedule) for several of us is incorrect. The team is flying on Air Canada flight AC 855 arriving into Vancouver at 2:25pm.

Here's the info straight from the horses mouth:

A random observation... Heathrow is unbelievably crazy after the bomb scare of late. They have a very tight carry-on restriction that only allows bags that are quite small. As such I had to check in my carry-on bag... which involved exiting through a customs lineup (that went out the hall and up the stairs), transfering to departures, re-checking in, and then waiting in a security queue the leg of one leg of the Tour de France.... a process that took three hours. Wheee!

Hey everyone! It's Darlene here - AKA "Mama Doreenie" in Uganda! Team Uganda, sorry for the 3 hour line up at Heathrow! Delays, long rides, waiting, waiting and more waiting. For everyone back home, upon the plane landing in London, we had to sit in the plane with our seatbelts fastened for a whole hour until our gate was available for our plane to dock. It seems that Africa time follows us even being outside of Africa! I Miss you guys already and wishing the most awesomest hot shower when you get home!! Yippee! (-=

Thanks to everyone who has been praying for us. We felt your prayers and can testify that considering all things, just about everyone did well not getting very sick. Thanks for posting replies too! We always looked forward to reading them during dinner time.

So far, London is great! Since leaving the airport and trying to navigate in a brand new city by underground train and bus, i got on the wrong bus, but people were super helpful and friendly! I think that I'll like it here, but of course there's no place like HOME! (this is where you all get a BIG HUG from me! So "hi!" to everyone at home: Jenn, Jay, Marieke, Icy, Anita, Mar, Byron, Tara, Mel, Jana (sorry I missed you! what's your new email?) mom, dad, tanya, andrew, Emma bear, Louise et Sarah, Jaycee & Dave, Lees, Elkes, Tanya C, the Stewarts, Jack, Judy, Zahaida, laura & steve, Aaron & Katherine, Klassens, PPAC staff, PPAC church family, and YA's. Thanks to everyone who supported us in so many ways to making this trip possible and successful! Without you all, our friends in Uganda wouldn't have been able to experience your love and God's love through us, so BIG THANKS!! Mmmwhaaa! ("Wet ones"...we loved using em, and we love dishing them!)
By the way Scott and Jon, I think that Carnivores was good for the tummy in more ways than one! Besides the delicious ostridge meatballs, and the chewy camel, I finally got to do a numero deux today after not being successful since leaving Uganda! Praise God! And, no more Jungle Oats in the morning except for Rosie the Jungle Oats Animal! hey Rose, i think that name just may stick! love you all!

cheers,
Dar

ps. sorry for the long comment. Trev, you can fire me. No wait! It's Trevor Meier that's on fire! (haha! I must have picked up some of that corniness from you! In fact, I guess that i only learn from the best! But seriously, thanks for the hot blog, postings and pictures! You rock, bud!
